Description

This interactive session will provide information on Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) and how mentorship can support CCP development. The CCP Mentorship Initiative aligns experienced First Nations planning champions as mentors to communities interested in initiating the early stages of Comprehensive Community Planning. The mentors serve as experienced guides through the early planning process.

Presenter Biographies

Christopher Derickson works with First Nation communities to develop community plans, community engagement strategies, and strategic plans. He is a regular speaker at conferences and workshops on the topic of First Nation community planning. Chris holds a degree in law from the University of British Columbia and was recently accepted into the School of Community and Regional Planning Masters program at the University of British Columbia. He currently serves as Councilor at Westbank First Nation.
